Description
Sawdust is a light, soft by-product of saw mills. Most often used in horse stalls, Sawdust’s dry, dusty properties allow for easy cleanup of animal waste. Sawdust is also popularly used around the base of blueberry bushes due to it having low acidity. But watch out, fresh sawdust can soak up a plant’s nitrogen. Try adding a nitrogen-rich fertilizer to the soil or mulch.
